Imaginary Friend Journal Assignment ( Due April 24th 2020)

Concept: Imaginary Friend

Medium: Your Choice

Two-Pages in Journal

This assignment requires you to really use your imagination. I call it “Imagery Friend” but it could also be considered a character development. This character should have a name and a reason why you created it/he/she. If you think about your childhood, imagery friends served a specific function for you, fear, loneliness, they were the thing you relayed on to handle emotions. Think of that notion as you create your imaginary friend.

You can create a drawing of this friend or make it three dimensionally using whatever you have at your house. The link below introduces you to JooYoung Choi, she will provide background, visual resources and repeat instructions for this assignment at the end of the brief video segment.

Psychological Landscape Journal Assignment

Concept: Psychological Landscape

Medium: Your Choice

TWO- Pages in Journal

This assignment includes basic landscape knowledge (foreground, middle ground background) with an added twist.

The foreground of a composition is the visual plane that appears closest to the viewer, while the background is the plane in a composition perceived furthest from the viewer. The middleground is the visual plane located between both the foreground and background.

Psychological Definition

The definition of psychological is something that relates to the mind or mental actions. An example of something psychological is an IQ test. An example of something psychological is bipolar disorder.
